:The Kindling Collective Leadership Team:
Rev. Julie Avis Rogers

A singer, storyteller, musical theatre enthusiast, and pastor, Julie currently serves as the Associate Pastor of Church of the Covenant and as the founding director The Kindling Collective. A graduate of Harvard Divinity School and an ordained minister of the United Church of Christ, Julie’s training focused largely on the evolution of liberation theologies in Latin America, vibrant and creative preaching and worship leadership, and spiritual development of students and young adults. She has degrees in Theatre and Vocal Performance and is passionate about many social justice concerns, particularly immigrant justice and the full inclusion and affirmation of the LGBTQ community in the life of our faith communities. She is also a (VERY) amateur reviewer of Boston's thai food scene (and even writes thai food reviews with her wife, Alyssa!) and would be glad to share her recommendations or take you out for a meal or cup of coffee.
Megan Berkowitz

Megan Berkowitz is a first-year M.Div. student at the Boston University School of Theology as well as Student Minister at Church of the Covenant and Coordinator of Creative Faith Dinners for the Kindling Collective. Passionate about the ways in which poets, storytellers, and artists act as prophets today and throughout history, and the forming of community over shared meals and conversation, Megan is excited to be on the Kindling Collective team with a specific focus on the Collective's monthly dinner gatherings. You'll spot her at any gathering with a knitting or quilting project in hand.
